Within the discipline of Environmental Education and Sustainability from the Course of Science Education on the University of Madeira, a group of students organized a debate entitled "Natural Disasters: Planning for Prevention" which aims to raise the discussion about the role of planning on the prevention of the consequences of floods, assess the preventive measures implemented in recent decades and discuss what should be implemented in coming years. This debate is open to the general public, will be held on April 28th 2010 from 18:30 hours at the Rectory Amphitheatre of the University of Madeira (Building Jesuit College - Funchal).
